This class is designed to provide you with a stimulating, supportive, and accountable space for generating work. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will come together to brainstorm ideas, set their own individual goals, produce as much writing as possible, receive on-the-spot feedback, and learn how to build a more sustainable writing and revision practice. Using a variety of prompts, timed writing periods, and in-class lectures and discussions, you can expect to leave the class with a good amount of material you can continue to develop, a clearer understanding of how to revise your work, and some concrete strategies to build a sustainable writing habit.

Because this is a generative class and not a formal workshop, there will not be required reading of published or student work outside of class, but you’ll be provided with a variety of fun and optional writing strategies for the writing that you do on your own time.
